For the first time, a ferry company from Doolin has put Inis Meáin on their schedule as opposed to it being just a request stop. Up to now, when you rang the other companies to request a stop at Inis Meáin, you couldn't get a sure answer about it so the service has been far too unreliable to be bothered with.
This service is run by the Garrihys who up to now have been doing Doolin to Cliffs of Moher Cruises. The Garrihys are a very well respected family in Doolin, who's late father was the main contact in Doolin for the Island Fisherman for selling on their lobster and buying petrol for the currachs.
Although you still have to book your passage to Inis Meáin or to be picked up from Inis Meáin (and the service times can vary slightly due to tides, as is the case with all boats from Doolin) this service sounds very promising.
