The Island Ferries
boat leaves Rossaveel (40 miles from Galway) at 9.30 am and 6.30 pm A
shuttle bus leaves Eyre Sq Galway an hour before to get you to the boat
on time.
These are passenger ferries only (no cars unless you take the cargo boat where you share the trip with cows and sheep).
Departs from Rossaveal or Doolin.
Boat
trip takes 40 min. Ferry leaves at 10.30am and returns at 5.00pm.
Extra trips are made during the Summer months (dep. 1.30pm - return

Ferries goes to Inis Oir and Inis Meain as of May 2009. There are
several ferry companies operating between Doolin and Inis Oir: Doolin Ferries or Cliffs & Aran Cruises

Scheduled flights depart from Inverin via Aer Aran Islands . Flight time approx. 7 min. Daily flights to the three Islands all year long. Flights every hour during peak season. Check Flight Times here

Tricky and requiring patience and perseverence. There are boats every day. You pick up the Island Ferry boat on its way to Inis Oir or the Doolin Ferry on its way from Inis Oir to Inis Mor. Check times at the co-op on the island or with the ferry companies
Can I hire bikes?
Yes, on the island up from the pier, a 10 minute walk.
Is there fishing, where and what tackle do I need ?
Bring you own light rod - collapsible - with mackerel spinners, lights weights and feathers - plenty of fishing from the pier and rocks. Bring a lifejacket for safety
Can you buy fish from the local fishermen?
Yes at the pier every day - lobster also. ask for Maritin or for Michael Concannon for lobster
